Job Summary:
The Coordinator, People Operations acts as a key player throughout the employee lifecycle by providing critical administrative support and collaborative problem-solving. This position serves employees and Leaders across the organization in People Operations processes and services. Day-to-day activities may include processing of highly confidential candidate and employee information within our HRIS, execution and optimization of onboarding and offboarding activities, investigating and responding to general employee and manager inquiries, and maintaining various independent task lists and databases. The ideal candidate is passionate about building a career in People Operations/Human Resources, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and approaches tasks with a can-do attitude and an insights/solutions-orientated approach.
This position reports directly into the Manager, People Operations.

This position reports directly into the Manager, People Operations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Manager, People Ops to field and address requests from various stakeholders; including new hire/onboarding requests, employee change requests, separation requests, and general operational inquiries.
- In collaboration with Finance, maintain data integrity standards within People Ops databases and systems of record by ensuring the accuracy of all qualitative and quantitative information throughout the employee and contractor lifecycle.
- Prepare and deploy employee lifecycle materials; including employment contracts, new hire communications, termination and severance notices, etc., prioritizing compliance, consistency, and timeliness.
- Administer and resolve unemployment, disability, and workers compensation claims, and complete employment verifications.
- Respond to inquiries on employee benefits, programs, systems, and plan/policy enrollments, connecting employees to our Payroll, Benefits, or IT partners as needed.
- Support ongoing rollout and implementation of optimization projects around tech, compliance, and process improvement
- Collaborate with Employee Engagement team on a monthly/bii-monthly basis on new-hire onboarding processes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support other seasonal projects as assigned (e.g. performance reviews).
- Education: BA or PHR certificate; or equivalent working experience
- Required Experience: 1-2 yrs experience working in Human Resources or People Operations; Passion for growing a career in People Operations.
- Preferred Experience: Start-up experience a plus
- Technologies: Fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Asana, and/or comparable project management suite; familiarity with Zenefits or other HRIS a plus

- A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture
